Pregnancy care, close to home

Prenatal Care

Several of our physicians provide prenatal care — following you through your pregnancy with regular checkups and support, until you're ready to transition to a maternity centre for delivery.

Pregnancy is a time when continuity of care matters most. At iCollab, several of our physicians provide prenatal care — seeing you for regular checkups throughout your pregnancy, monitoring your health and your baby's development, and answering the questions that come up along the way.

Care through your pregnancy

Your physician follows you with scheduled prenatal visits, ordering and reviewing the routine tests and ultrasounds that are part of standard pregnancy care, and keeping an eye on how you and your baby are doing at each stage.

Transition to a maternity centre

As you approach your due date, your care is transitioned to a maternity centre where you'll deliver. We help coordinate that hand-off so the team caring for you at delivery has what they need, and so nothing falls through the gaps.

Connected to the rest of your care

Because prenatal care happens within your iCollab family practice, it stays connected to the rest of your health record — and after your pregnancy, your family physician is right here to continue caring for you and your growing family.

Prenatal care is generally provided at our Sullivan clinic. Availability is at each physician's discretion — please ask when booking.

Questions

Prenatal Care — FAQ

Which doctors provide prenatal care?+
Several of our family physicians follow prenatal patients, including Dr. Anshu Jassal and Dr. Sahajanand Kaur. Prenatal care is generally based out of our Sullivan clinic, and availability is at each physician's discretion — please ask when booking.
Do you deliver babies at the clinic?+
No — delivery does not happen at the clinic. Prenatal care covers your pregnancy checkups and monitoring; when you're ready to deliver, your care is transitioned to the hospital within your home catchment area.
How do I start prenatal care?+
If you think you may be pregnant or have a positive test, book with an iCollab family physician or visit the walk-in clinic to get started.
